Absolutely Positivity

The time we think of new beginnings, resolutions and goals.  As a business owner, entrepreneur, mother, wife and volunteer I am always seeking new and different ways to do something better, more efficient, more cost effective, better for the environment and honestly, a little easier on myself.  I have been doing more readings on the impact of positivity on life and this is what I have found.

In an unscientific study (me being the subject) I journaled my life for 2 consecutive days. I am not surprised, just interested of my findings. Here is a glimpse of those 2 days. On day 1, I decided to be less than positive – ok at times, I was downright negative to the nth degree. It started with the alarm and carried on all day until I turned in for the night.  My hair didn’t go the way I wanted it to and I wasn’t ready to accept that fact.  If I was late, I complained about the traffic and was later than I should have been.  If I picked a line in the grocery store, the person in front of me had issues with the teller – not enough money, wrong coupons, wrong items etc.  You get the picture.  It was as if I was attracting everything to me that I was complaining about.  I also did this on a day when I wasn’t going to be meeting with any clients – good thing too.

On day 2, I decided to have positivity pouring out of my pores.  I took a few minutes to settle myself before getting out of bed after I turned off the alarm, I reminded myself this was a phenomenal day and the world was mine for the taking.  My husband was helping with the children, the children were doing exactly what needed to be done, I got the best parking spots, traffic was congested but I got where I needed to go in time, in fact I was early.  The people surrounding me were helpful, happy and going out of their way to accommodate me.  I got prime parking spots.  By the way, my hair looked fantastic!!  I also did THIS on a day when I wasn’t going to be meeting with any clients – should’ve had a full day scheduled.

So, my resolution for 2008 is this – POSITIVITY!!  Whatever you call it – positivity, power of prayer, law of attraction, manifestation, karma, kismet or a number of other names, I call it my new and improved way of thinking.  I am on a mission to remain positive in all aspects of my life.  If I happen to slip every now and again and you are around, please remind me to revisit this article or give me another clue that I am being anything less than positive in a situation.  I know I only have one go around and I have decided to make it the best I can.  I am positive I will overcome the fears, doubts and dopplegangers that hang out in my life and all will be as it should.

Peace, prosperity and positivity to you!!  May this be the best year of your life!
